Oracle Technical Consultants - San Fernando, CA

We currently have 9 openings for Oracle Technical Consultants of various backgrounds for a 12 to 18 month project in San Fernando, CA. The contract has a start date of April 2nd, and we are able offer a competitve compensation with bonus incentives. Qualified candidates should have the following skills:

 Extensive development experience and expertise extending Oracle 11i Applications (11.5.10CU2) using Oracle Forms, Oracle CUSTOM.PLL and Personalization, Oracle API’s, Oracle Interface tables and Oracle Workflow.
 Extensive development experience and expertise creating complex Oracle Forms with custom tables and views while still maintaining the proper behavior of Oracle 11i applications. Experience should include adding of forms using CUSTOM.PLL/Personalization to existing Oracle 11i applications such as Order Management.
 Excellent proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL a using an Oracle 10G Database.
 Experience in using Oracle Application Object Library (AOL) features including implementation of Flex fields (Implementing Cross Validation Rules, Security rules), creating and scheduling Concurrent programs, Creating Request Sets, Workflow users, menus, form functions, responsibilities and function security, registration of forms, reports etc.
 Good working knowledge of Multi-Org and Multi-Currency.
 Must be able to demonstrate the creation of a form from Template.fmb and then using Forms Personalization, pop that form up immediately after the Pricing field in Sales Order Entry.

Rails Mobile Developer

In this position, you will be instrumental in launching a brand new Dallas-based Mobile Division for a global company with over 1,000 employees.  You will work closely with the Director of Mobile Software Development to build a truly scalable framework for this division.

Our clients include Fortune 500 companies who are aggressively seeking to develop enterprise mobile apps and commercial mobile apps.  In many cases, we are already providing other professional services to these organizations and now expanding our relationship into Mobile applications.

This position is specifically designed for a senior developer with extensive coding experience who is willing to operate in a player/coach role.  Not only will be you be a key coding contributor…but will also be instrumental in mentoring other developers on the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

1.    Working with the Director to define the overall Development Methodology to be utilized by this division.

2.    Implementing a technical platform which facilitates:  code reusability, content management and integration across multiple Mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Mobile Web, etc.).

3.    Developing core libraries to be used by other developers in order to facilitate code reusability, content management and platform integration.

4.    Documenting best practices for code development and quality assurance in order to providing efficient scalability of the development team.

5.    Assuming the technical lead for all new client projects, defining project requirements, creating detailed specifications to be used by developers to complete individual components of the project.

6.    Being a member of one or more Agile/Lean Development teams and participating in daily Scrum meetings with the possibility of fulfilling role as Scrum Master.

7.    Managing local development resources and working with offshore technical leads through completion of each project.

8.    Must be very “hands-on” with the development process (including actual code development) to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the projects.

Your qualifications should include:

1.    3+ years coding experience developing web applications and web services utilizing Ruby on Rails.

2.    3+ years coding experience across multiple mobile platforms including:  native iOS, native Android and mobile web (HTML5/CSS3).

3.    3+ years experiencing utilizing code repositories and version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)

4.    3+ years experience utilizing automated testing platforms (web-based and/or mobile-based)

5.    3+ years experience with distribution of Mobile Apps through multiple channels (Apple AppStore, Android Market, Internal Corporate apps, etc.)

Required Experience:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of general experience in Software Development

• Required skills: .NET framework 3.5/4.0, C#, ASP.NET, HTML/CSS, XML, SQL Server 2005/2008

• Knowledge in some or all the following technologies, frameworks, or platforms is desired: VB6, COM+, ASP, and JQuery

• Working experience with data modeling, database design, and system integration is a plus

• Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010 for source code and Work Item management, solution builds and deployment, and automation testing a plus

• Strong interpersonal skills - must be able to work effectively as part of a project/program team and foster team cooperation

• Understanding of the Agile/Scrum development process is helpful
