SCCM Admins needed in Redmond, WA

Job Description:

Provide operational support for day to day activities involving SCCM Client Health, Software Distribution, Software Updates, and Operating systems deployment. Provide incident and problem management support and proactively identify the shortcomings and provide solutions for sustained and predictable delivery of operational tasks using but not limited to Microsoft SCCM. Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting issues with Client Health, Software Distribution, Software Updates, and Operating System migrations for both Microsoft internal and external customers. Proactively identify and log bugs/ DCR’s to relevant teams with thorough follow-up. Collaborate with various support and development teams to improve the overall quality of delivery not just for the team but for the entire MPSD organization. Use technical expertise in Windows, SCCM, SQL, and WMI as well as other enterprise applications to automate manual tasks. Troubleshoot failures. Identify system problems and recommend solutions to improve processing efficiency and stability. Assist in building, implementing and improving processes related with day-to-day Service Delivery Operations.



Responsibilities Include:

Provide SCCM system administration for MPSD customers in the following areas:

•     Resolve tickets in queue for Software Distribution (SLA: Pri1-4hrs, Pri2-10hrs, and Pri3-24hrs).

•     Distribute monthly security updates by using SCCM SUM feature and achieve 95% compliance for MSIT and 98% compliance for MMS customers during monthly patch cycle.

•     Perform Sustainer Patch management activities. All related Work Items should be completed within 48 hours.

•     Perform troubleshooting and Remediation for patch and software distribution issues.

•     Perform OSD tasks as per the defined processes.

•     Follow documented Escalation process.

•     Perform testing on tools/scripts developed by MPSD within the guidelines set when receiving the project.



Qualifications Include:

Technical Skills:

•   Minimum 3-5 years deploying and/or operating SMS 2003 or Configuration Manager 2007.

•   Ability to write complex SQL/WQL queries.

•   Thorough understanding of Windows server and client platforms.

•   Excellent in Windows, SQL, VBS / PowerShell Scripting and WMI to automate manual tasks

•   Knowledge of WMI and XML

•   Experience in OS Deployment technologies such as Configuration Manager OSD, PXE, WDS/RIS, Driver Management, USMT, and Peer Caching

•   Good understanding of Active Directory, OU structures and Group Policies is a big plus

•   Understanding of Branch Cache, Multicast and related network technologies is a big plus

•   Works effectively across multiple teams, roles and disciplines

•   Ability to work well under tight deadlines with a focus on customer satisfaction

•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•   Ability to successfully prioritize issues and drive to closure

In this position, you will be instrumental in launching a brand new Dallas-based Mobile Division for a global company with over 1,000 employees.  You will work closely with the Director of Mobile Software Development to build a truly scalable framework for this division.



Our clients include Fortune 500 companies who are aggressively seeking to develop enterprise mobile apps and commercial mobile apps.  In many cases, we are already providing other professional services to these organizations and now expanding our relationship into Mobile applications.



This position is specifically designed for a senior developer with extensive coding experience who is willing to operate in a player/coach role.  Not only will be you be a key coding contributor…but will also be instrumental in mentoring other developers on the team.



Your responsibilities will include:



1.    Working with the Director to define the overall Development Methodology to be utilized by this division.

2.    Implementing a technical platform which facilitates:  code reusability, content management and integration across multiple Mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Mobile Web, etc.).

3.    Developing core libraries to be used by other developers in order to facilitate code reusability, content management and platform integration.

4.    Documenting best practices for code development and quality assurance in order to providing efficient scalability of the development team.

5.    Assuming the technical lead for all new client projects, defining project requirements, creating detailed specifications to be used by developers to complete individual components of the project.

6.    Being a member of one or more Agile/Lean Development teams and participating in daily Scrum meetings with the possibility of fulfilling role as Scrum Master.

7.    Managing local development resources and working with offshore technical leads through completion of each project.

8.    Must be very “hands-on” with the development process (including actual code development) to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the projects.



Your qualifications should include:



1.    3+ years coding experience developing web applications and web services utilizing Ruby on Rails.

2.    3+ years coding experience across multiple mobile platforms including:  native iOS, native Android and mobile web (HTML5/CSS3).

3.    3+ years experiencing utilizing code repositories and version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)

4.    3+ years experience utilizing automated testing platforms (web-based and/or mobile-based)

5.    3+ years experience with distribution of Mobile Apps through multiple channels (Apple AppStore, Android Market, Internal Corporate apps, etc.)
